Was kind of bumped that the update didn't come out on Wednesday, but I had plenty more to do. A bit of runecrafting, some chatting, some reading of forums......and thought maybe there would be a prayer update. And maybe that would cause the price of dragon bones to skyrocket. So I went to the GE and started selling stuff. Somehow I had 16 rune full helms, 8 platebodies, and so on. So I withdrew a lot of it and started just stuffing it into the GE. Some of the runes sold faast, the seaweed not so fast. Anyways, took all that and bought bones like crazy.
Today, finished up the new quest. Great fun. And got some new prayers in the process. Used all those lamps on prayer and summoning. No new levels, just some xp.

Finished the new quest. Not bad, not great.
Did my usual daily tasks and then went over to the Bandos Throne Room agility course.
It's not the best, even at 96 agility I failed 2x. But it's really fast and doesn't require energy pots to run. Plus, you tele right there, no wasting time running around looking for it.
I made a few spheres to tele me there after the quest. I'll probably use them up visiting there whenever I feel like just messing around a little with agility.

Made it to 7,000,000 agility. I can easily clear 45k an hour at Goblin with 55k an hour if I pay attention. That's a lot better then I've been getting at Ape. I'm not saying that this is true for everyone, but for me I've tested it enough to know what I'm going with.
Otherwise, it's stars, farming rounds, battlestaffs, jade vine and bork.

Easiest quest. Ever. Any and all.
Loved the xp reward (41k total) for 5 minutes of work that didn't cost me anything.
I liked the 5k experience for killing the Phoenix the first time.
I'm not interested in doing it daily. I might someday but for me the combat is a headached and the XP isn't that great for what it distracts me from.
Cashed in my penguin points and made a few pouches and got to 82 Summoning.
Otherwise, it's stars, farming rounds, battlestaffs, jade vine and bork.

Grandmaster Quest-While Guthix Sleeps
Appearantly this quest is an all day affair. I knew I should have taken the day before Thanksgiving off!! Instead, I went to work and got stuck in the traffic of everyone leaving town.
I would like to build a light guide to it (kind of a go here and here's the tricky thing you need to know, not a step by step guide).
I started it. Talked to Eraskus at the Legend's Guild. Asked him every question to get the backstory. Wandered over to Taverly and found the woman in the house across from the Witch's house. Went upstairs and....well....be prepared to fight. Although if you have the requirements for this quest you can do it barehanded (like me!).
That's where I left off. I'll be picking up again tonight at 9pm PST. If anyone is interested in doing it along with me (not following me but working with me on it) then PM me in game.
I'll post more as I learn more.

Got a new computer! Faster RS speed, but forgot to move my bookmarks. Sorry for not posting but I was distracted.
Got to 80 Cooking a couple days ago. Cooked off all the monkfish I caught in my last big fishing push. Had 1 monkfish left uncooked after I hit 80, so that worked out well.
Did the Smoking Kills quest. Last quest was on global warming, now an anti-smoking one. I think the next farming quest will be "Eat your vegetables".
I liked the new quest though the story seemed a bit rushed. Adding to the devourer series of quests, wasn't a huge waste of time and had a decent reward. I really like what they've done with the slayer skill. Going to work on getting some slayer points. The jewelry and helmet look nice and xp is always good.
While killing Bork last night I got to 81 Hitpoints! Love it when I get a surprise level.

Still running like a crazy monkey. About 100k from my next agility level. I'm starting to get the clicking down pretty fast. Also running low on youtube videos to listen to in the background.
Did the new quest that came out on Tuesday. My friend James (the anti-quester) did it first and warned me that I wasn't going to just waltz through it. Another friend started it around the same time I did so we talked a bit while working through it. I liked it personally. Looking at the skill levels involved to do the quest I thought it was a fair balance of time, resources and reward.
Mixed feelings about the new city. I think I might like the new color scheme better but....hmmm......
One of my good friends finally.....after months....and months.....and poking....and prodding.....got his quest cape. :D I thought we were going to meet at 6 and got stuck at work/commuting and was sure I had missed it when I got home. I logged in and found out that he still had Rag and Bone part 2 to do. Woohoo!! Logged out and came back later. Still working on it. Did some agility and then started my daily rounds. I get a PM from him telling me to get to Draynor. Woot! I had planned for this and was wearing a glory. One quick tele and..............I was in Al Kharid!!! What?!?! And, out of charges. So sprinted to my bank as others were asking where I was. Dug around, found a glory and arrived in time to see him do his cape emote!!! So happy for him!!
Then we went to a house and uhm, well, sat around and drank beer. Great house. Lots of fun stuff to do but we ended up sitting around the dining room table with beers and curry with lots of good laughs.

Grinding away at slayer lately. Finally got 73 Defense last night. Was doing Cave Horrors and got a clue scroll. So started working on that. Then got distracted and started talking to a friend. Decided to clean out my bank a bit. Hit 73 Herblore.
Since I last updated I've gotten fire giants and cave horrors as my slayer tasks. Been killing Bork pretty regularly too. And fiddling with a few little things. And when I entered the cave horrors cave I got the Air Guitar Emote :D.
Today did the new quest (Kenneth's Concern). Annoying like Eadger's Ruse. Finally finished it and got 71 Mining.
Did new Stronghold of Safety. Really unimpressed with how this got implemented but whatever. Didn't take long. Used lamps on summoning.

Welcome to 2008!!
Did the new quest tonight (Dealing with Scarabasas).
The quest itself was annoying in that I made a lot of mistakes. Otherwise it wasn't too bad. Energy pots are your friend on this one. I like the puzzles and the fact that this quest very much rewards well rounded characters. The thing that surprised me was that the smithing was only bronze. I would have thought it would make more sense to make it steel or mithril considering the other quest requirements. (I think the whole thing is a south desert achievement diary of random things)
This quest has 2 mini quests. One involves Simon Templeton. Easy, good reward if you ever want to do serious thieving. Makes sense etc.
The other one....hmm...the other one....I'm still working on. Going on hour 4 I think. Basically you have to finish the Scarabas Research Diary. Requires what looks like 20+pages to be collected. I've gotten to 71 Strength and 71 Attack on this one and I'm still collecting.

Lots of spoilers.....read at your own risk.
New goblin quest. Very easy skills wise.
I'd recommend: Fighting stuff, ammy of glory, skills necklace or ardy teleports, fishing pole, bait.
This is easy so no walkthrough...but a few tips:
1) Energy pots will be your friend.
2) Make 2 sets of goblin potions in case something goes wrong
3) Black mushrooms can be found in the western part of the cave goblin area near the temple entrance.
4) Go to Draynor, get a white mail and then go to Lleyta and buy the others before returning to the goblins.
5) 941

Finally got to 72 Woodcutting.
Did Back to the Roots quest. I thought it has hard at times in the maze but not impossible. Not sure how these people on the forums saying it only took them 20 minutes did it.
Combat wasn't too bad. More pesky then anything really. The hard part was finding your way through the maze.
Anyways, finished it, planted my jade vine. Got to 67 Farming with that!

July 24-Finished new quest (King's Ransom). Fun and easy. That gave me 66 Defense. (Used the lamp on prayer). Killed some elves. Got yet another clue scroll. Toured the widly with Sparkle and Mox. Got 1 black d hide body, 1 rune plate, 1 rune pick, 42 natures, a sara page 4 and a couple other items.
July 25-Finally done with elves! Now on to fire giants. Fighting them in the Smokey Well. Burying all the big bones. Lots of herbs and decent drops (mith shield, rune dagger).
Tears of Guthix went to Runecrating (but no level :() Got 60 Slayer. Another skill to 60!!

Finished Grim Tales with Ra. Pretty fun quest without too much cross country running. That giant hits pretty hard!
Did more slayer....Trolls...184. Made 56 Slayer, 64 Defense and 64 Strength.

Finally did Devious Minds. The weird thing about this quest was that I got it pretty early on. Before I was anywhere near the levels for it. Considering it's got one of the highest skill requirements in RS it's funny that it's such an easy quest. EXCEPT FOR THE PART ABOUT RUNNING TO THE ABYSS. The idea is that you have to smuggle something into Entrana via the Law Portal in the Abyss. Which means either you run there w/o armor or you dump it once you get in there. So off I went forgetting it was Saturday and there were pk'ers all over the place (of course I chose the no armor option). I got lucky that the 2 guys who weren't already beating on someone were too high level to pick on me. However, that didn't stop the monsters inside the abyss. It didn't help of course that I was looking on the wrong side of the wall and couldn't figure out how to get through. Anyways, got lucky and slipped in. Wrapped up.
Then I did Lunar Diplomacy. This was actually a fun quest. I didn't have to run all over the place to do it, but you did have to think alot. There was combat but it wasn't especially hard. Definately not a level 3 skiller type quest but not a combat quest per se. The assembling of the lunar costume was kind of fun. The Dream world (or whatever) was actually one of the better quest puzzles I've done.
That leaves Dream Mentor and Grim Tales.

Four quests left. My goal.....way back....was to be done by 4th of July. When Dream Mentor came out I got really defeated. No way to make that goal now. I slacked way off in June on questing and did other stuff. Then in the last week I started pounding out the quests. New goal is to get at least all the quests that were out when I made my goal done.
That leaves me Devious Minds and Lunar Diplomacy.
Need 65 smithing for Devious Minds and 61 Crafting for LD.
2630 gold ores needed. I'll probably 2600 and then use the bars in my bank to make up the difference. Started mining in Brim.
Got 61 Mining. Used Gold Gauntlets and superheated item to get 65 Magic. That was last night.
Tonight got 62 mining. 2000 ores left (arrrgh).
That leaves me Devious Minds and Lunar Diplomacy.

Very productive day. Did Swan Song. That got me 55 Prayer.
Went to mage training arena and in no time at all I was at 64 Magic.
Worked on my slayer task a little (mage training is boring no matter what).
Got 62 Defense and 55 Slayer in a row :D. That's 1352 levels with 5 days left in the month.
The only goal I have left is all skills at 50. That should be taken care of this Wednesday. Tears of Guthix should put my runecrafting right near 50. The other goals I had were 1000 agility tickets and 72 Agility. I'm at 66 now and don't think it will move. I've got 654 tix.
I had a goal back at the beginning of the year to get my quest cape by July 4th. I gave up on that when Dream Mentor came out because I knew to get 10 combat levels would take longer then I had. Quit working on quests for about 3 weeks. Now that I've done 4 quests in 4 days (and hard ones at that I have a new goal. All the quests that existed when I made that original plan will be done! I've done all the new ones other then Grim Tales and Dream Mentor.

Started the day doing DT as a group. That broke up. Took a break. Came back. Started up again with Ra. He hugely saved me in doing the Ice Diamond. Then ran into Hobbler and Belly who saved me again and that one. Then Hobbler, Ra and myself got the Smoke Diamond together. I had the Shadow from a few days ago. Blood was easy once I get myself going. Anyways, at some point I was ectoing a ton of bones at Port Phasmatys. In the process of helping some friends get the Shadow Diamond I was bored and burying bones and hit 53 Prayer.
DT was great because as each of us needed supplies someone else had them. I'm sure I couldn't have done it without the guys.
Since I was so geared up I decided to try and finish RFD. Took the final round nice and easy and it worked out well. Mostly didn't get hit much (used a superset).
In one of the battles I saw 63 Magic fly by.
Finished and got a 20k experience lamp. Used it on Prayer and landed at 54 Prayer.
Spun 200 flax while talking to a friend to end the night. Made 56 Crafting.

Finally after 5 more hours I finished Mourning's End 2. It would have taken me longer but Pdean and Drake gave me some prayer pots. Then I told Dushenki about the big list the Dwarf gave me and she had about 10 of those items. This quest took a total of 8 hours, would have been closer to 10 without everyone's help. Got 66 Agility.
That leaves 7 more quests for a quest cape. No doubt July will bring with it another quest. I'm going to try and get another magic level and get Swan Song done this month.

Spent the evening pick up everything I had ever lost in any death. Had to kill a mourner and in the process of that got my stats nuked. Which means I had to walk from Lumbridge to Al-Kharid to Varrock to Taverly to Lleyta. By then I could tele to Ardougne.
Got 152 Tears and made 49 Runecrafting. Only 1 more RC level and everything is 50+.
Spent another hour on Mourning's End Part 2.

Bad day. Died once when I wasn't paying attention in Infernal Mages. Ran back but all my stuff was gone. Not a huge loss but not happy about it either. So I decided to get started on Mourning's End Part 2. Got to the third door and died. Lagged. Ran out of prayer and a shadow got me.
I think I'm going to put aside ME 2 for now, at least til this weekend.

The clan recruitment drive continues. We got some really great candidates! Watching the recruitment thread I saw some real nutters jumping out. Fortunately, most of them were one time posters. This is my second recruitment drive during my tenure with TCA.
Anyways...got the clan events boards reconfigured. Something I've been wanting for a long time. Committee finally agreed and now we have a better smaller board.
Finished the Fever Spider assignment. Total waste. They dropped maybe 5 Kwuarms with the 49 I killed. Next task was 183 Infernal Mages. Love these! Just what I needed for my dwindling rune supply. Training defense on these guys. Amazing rune droppers, should get what I need to hit 63 mage later this week.
Was cooking lobsters and next thing I know 71 Cooking. For the record, I only cook when I need it for combat or questing. Never put a lot of effort into this but it's still moving along nicely.
Borrowed a Rune Warhammer from my friend Drew. Great guy, him and his fiance are in our clan. He's always good with advice for me.
Anyways, borrowed the Warhammer and killed off Barrelchest. Yes, finished the Great Brain Robbery! Easy too. Level 78 combat for the record.
Used the experience lamp and got 52 Prayer. And just before logging out I got 61 Defense!
