I really like hunting. And I was feeling that bad that it was my lowest leveled skilled (not sure why this made me feel bad but it did.) Having recently finished Swan Song I went up to Piscatoris to work on some hunting. Hadn't spent much time in the area since without access to the colony it's too far away from everything.
I had never done deadfalling for hunter. Spent plenty of time tracking, bird snaring and catching salamanders. Surpisingly, I really liked hunting with deadfalling. I did some tracking of kebbits to get spikes for vambraces. Then I found a very productive area on the far west side of the hunting area. I was chopping down yews (I need 71 woodcutting for Grim Tales so figured I should start chipping away at it), setting one deadfall at a time, fletching kebbit bolts and burying bones. Lots of stuff going on. Whenever I had a moment to breathe I caught Implings or Butterflies. Really fast xp here. The kind where you aren't watching the amount of xp you get because you're really busy. I got a good rhythm down and was racking up the levels. I got 3 levels in a little less then 2.5 hours. 53 Hunting! The nice thing is that there are few people here to distract you and the people you meet are pretty into doing their own thing. Bank is nearby (relative to other hunting areas). I'm sure deadfalling/tracking/butterfly catching is not the fastest way possible to get levels. Don't care. It was fast for me and I got about 1000 bolts for my hunter crossbow.
