1) Beggars. The bane of runescape. Plenty has been ranted about them and I would refer you to others who'll write much eloquently then me on this topic. Other then to say....I don't care if you beg. But I hate it when you follow me!! Grrr.
2) Enablers. These are the guys who make it worth the time for beggars to beg. They want to feel important or that they helped someone so they give stuff to the beggars. Well.....if you're one of these people.....when I see you giving lots of free stuff to a beggar I think you're an idiot. You aren't helping them, you are encouraging them to beg more. I lay the blame at your feet for encouraging this idiotic behavior.
3) True Story: I'm standing in Yanille (I think it was) and this guy walks up to me. We start chatting and he asks me if I can make him something for a treasure trail. So I go over to the forge and make some item and give it to him. He says Friends, I say ok and blah blah blah. Treasure Trail done....he and I are talking.
He says "I looked at your stats, very nice."
Me: "Thanks"
He then basically goes on to tell me that I need to get my strength up or I won't be able to PK anyone. Keep in mind that I don't ever PK. I don't care to. And while I kept explaining this to him I got back an argument that sums up as: You don't know what you are doing.
Well...honestly.....everyone plays differently. If you ask me for advice on a skill I'll give it to you. If you say you are having problems doing something I may suggest to you that you need to raise a skill. But really, at the end of the day, it's your character to do with as you please.
4)Whiners....ok for some reason these have been everywhere lately. Maybe I need to go back to using the "fringe cities" (Side note: Ever notice that the cities on the edge of the map have nicer populations then the ones in the middle? Hmmm"). For example, I have a clanner who always asks "Is anyone giving away
5) "I'm getting 99
6) Little Kidscape. Ok....by little kid I mean a mentality not an age. Some of my favorite people aren't yet old enough to take driver's ed. All of the above behaviors? Littlekidscape. Not showing up to group outings prepared and then spending ten minutes begging everyone for equipment? Little kid behavior. Saying provocative things in public? Testing to see if you can get around the censor? Idiots.
Like a lot of you, I play this to have fun. And yeah, I know I'm an adult and some people are younger then me. And like I've said before, I'm happy to help. But at the end of the day I'm not here to serve them. I think that is what makes me the most irked.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said, especially about those people who are "helping" "new" players by giving out weapons, armor, items, etc..
I am so glad this stuff doesn't just happen to me.That sounds bad, doesn't it? What I mean is that I thought it was just my reaction to these sorts of players.
Heyy Jax, haven't commented your blog recently ! very nice rant, there I agree. Though, I started playing before the correct age, I am two years over age now, and I think this game helped me grow up a bit.
I started as just your average whinning, begging, super noob. I got one generous donation from a friend, and a few monthd later, I never begged again.
I agree with it all, except that giving beggers things makes them keep begging. There are honest players just starting that actually are legit and do need a boost. I was once, and I know how it feels. True, most are lying, but some aren't. I feel bad for the legit ones, the people that just crave free stuff are ruining it for them.
There's a different to me between honest players and beggars. When I was starting out I got a lot of stuff from friends. What's garbage to one person is an upgrade to another.
A good friend gave me my first piece of rune armor. I didn't beg, he just said meet me I've got something for you. I've been known to do the same.
When I say beg I mean people in clan chat or in banks saying "Give me stuff."
I don't in any way mean not to help people out.
Ooh, okay. I was sortof a beggar. I didn't just stand around asking for free things. I asked a friend (his name is Chris, btw, he has long since quit) if he had any free things, and he gave me tons, and I asked why and he said he was quitting. He told me he is leaving me everything he had of value, and wanted me to be good. That is one of the reasons I thrive to be good. And that is how I got my start up items.
