I've been slacking a bit the last few days. Wanted to get some projects done in my real world before settling in for summoning. I tried to tell myself that I could wait a week for the hordes to calm down before approaching summoning. Not going to happen and I know it.
Got to 73 Farming and 71 Hunter on Thursday. Did a bit more hunting and closing in on the next level. I'm hunting red chins. I'm pretty sure that at my level red salamanders would be faster, but I'd rather catch things I can use instead of things I can't even if it is faster.
As for farming, I think I have a new daily route. Still tweaking it but it includes where the "daily stops" should be (battlestaffs, seaweed, pineapple, Bert). Doesn't hit all the farming spots but I don't see a need to do so. I have about 200 herb seeds ranging from guam to lantadyme. I plant at least 3 a day. Since I'm not working slayer the only place I'm getting my herb seeds from is my kingdom. I get about 6 a week. So at 3 a day I'm chipping away at my stockpile. Honestly, herbs aren't great experience. Not bad mind you, especially at the higher levels you can get 500-600xp per seed. I plant 2 trees, 1 bush, 1 hop and 4 fruit trees a day (sometimes I just pick the fruit depending on what I need for payments). I don't see the sense in power farming. When I go back to mining at the Grand Tree I'll go back to my tree planting strategy and that will speed it up a bit. However, the time it takes to keep running in circles to plant stuff. Not worth it to me. That may sound a bit odd since I just admited to planting hops and herbs. But these plots are on my way to something else...they aren't why I'm going to that spot in the first place. And I have the seeds. I didn't buy them, just saved them from my various travels. Once I'm out of bush/herb/hops seeds I'll just skip the planting of the location until I get more.
More on this thought to come....
